Turtle Beach PAX 2011

Kona’s Korner was brought to PAX Prime 2011 by Turtle Beach for a full production. We brought in 4 cameras (2 stationary), audio and gameplay capture on the tech side. As for man power, 3 camera men (with on floor editing capabilities), 1 audio person, a technical assistant and a host were brought in to run the show. During the show, Kona and Jeff (Community Manager for Turtle Beach) played host to the Turtle Beach live stream through planning of interviews and tournaments. We also were able to go out to Turtle Beach’s affiliates and partners to do on-floor interviews, which were edited and shown live within 20 minutes of recording. Below is a playlist that we created showing just a portion of what went on at PAX 2011. Remember, dozens of hours were streamed live at Twitch.tv. The live broadcast had an average viewership of 6,000 views hitting 3.5 million total views, which included recorded materials for the weekend.

Also on the show floor we had a contracted host/shoutcaster working with Red 5 Studios on their Firefall project. Our staff was there to help Red 5 Studios create an engaging and exciting floor presence. Through tournament/game shoutcasting and some live broadcasting, we helped make the Red 5 Studios booth the place to be at PAX.
