Borderlands 2 Gets Dressed Up For Halloween

Ever since Borderlands 2 was released back in Mid-September, the crew at Gearbox Software has gone above and beyond to give back to the community. It seems like every weekend, they are pumping out at least one (usually many) codes for players to get their hand on. Up until today, those codes were for Golden Keys … which of course unlock the Golden Chest in Sanctuary and adding a little bit of awesome to your gameplay. Seeing as how today is Halloween, they decided to step it up a notch. Here are the details straight from the source!

Keep an eye on the Gearbox Software Twitter and Borderlands Facebook on October 31, 2012 for SHiFT codes that unlock special spooky character customization skins in Borderlands 2 like the one above! We’ll start rolling out the codes around 10AM CT (What time is that for you?) with more to come throughout the day.

Each code will be active until Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 11:55PM CT (What time is that for you?) To learn more about SHiFT codes and how to redeem them, visit support.gearboxsoftware.com

As you can see, they are going to hook your character(s) up with some new threads like the one pictured above. While it’s not exactly clear how many, or the order in which they will do it, chances are that all of them will see new costumes. I’d even go so far as to say that we can probably expect to see some additional Golden Key codes as well. So there you have it, NO excuses. Stay tuned to their Twitter and Facebook pages and get in on the goodies!
