That Crazy Moon Nazi Movie Gets A Game Tie In
As if the independent film Iron Sky wasn’t crazy enough on its own, its getting the video game tie in treatment to share in that crazy. The movie features a secret group of Nazis who live on the dark side of the moon and have waited 70 Years to get their revenge. Using special secret weapon technology they launch a full scale invasion on Earth only to find we have a few tricks up our sleeve as well. If this sounds crazy that’s because it is, but in one of those awesome funny kind of crazies. Topware is looking to bring this craziness to your consoles this year as well with Iron Sky: Invasion.
”Iron Sky: Invasion” puts the player in the pilot seat of defending Earth from a sudden Nazi invasion – from space. The player has at their disposal a variety of experimental, secretly manufactured space fighters, and are tasked with keeping these Moon Nazis off our beloved Planet Earth. “Iron Sky: Invasion” will bear the major underlying theme of politics: everything, even defending your planet from “luna-r-tic” villains, requires skillful political maneuvers. You will need to know who you are fighting for, whose boots you are stepping on, and choose your friends, or more importantly, enemies carefully.
Topware promises the game will feature the absurd Moon Nazi humor of the movie while providing a solid space simulation shooter experience. The Grace2 engine will provide photorealistic renderings of “hundreds” of space ships and provide “advanced destruction physic” and even “sophisticated AI.” To take the absurdity one step further the game will also be available with stereoscopic 3D. The game is set to launch on November 30th and Topware would like to remind you that the Moon Nazis come in peace.
