Ubisoft Shows Off Some Far Cry 3 Co-Op Gameplay
Today, Ubisoft is throwing us all a bone with some fresh new details and visual goodies for Far Cry 3. Having experienced a number of setbacks (including the release date ), the highly anticipated shooter is finally starting to see the light … and so are fans. After all, this is some of the only news we have seen on the title since showing off a little gameplay at this year’s E3.
This latest video walks us though a number of the game’s co-op components including characters, environments, load outs, and team based fundamentals. You will see how choosing between the four available characters (Leonard, Callum, Tiska, and Mikhail) help define the missions as each come equipped with their own personality and area of expertise. Allowing players to customize their weapons load out is another key feature in co-op. It gives each participant the ability to showcase their various skills and bring them to the battlefield. As for the co-op storyline, Ubisoft says the following:
When a twisted ship captain sells his black market cruise liner and everyone on it to a warlord named Hoyt, only four crewmembers have the courage to fight back. They band together to fight off the pirates and recover the safe that holds the ship’s profits and the crew’s earnings. But the captain has different plans in mind. He escapes, taking the money from the safe with him, and takes refuge on Hoyt’s island. Now, the four survivors must claw their way through the jungle to reclaim what they have lost and exact revenge against the man who wronged them.
Far Cry 3 is now schedule to be release on November 30th of this year. Look for it at your favorite retailer for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows PC. Now … On to the video!
