2K Sports Names Jay Z Executive Producer For NBA 2K13

2K Sports has announced today that they have teamed up with the infamous music mogul Shawn Carter, better known as “Jay Z”, on NBA 2K13. Named Executive Producer for the next installment of 2K’s number one rated NBA video game, he can now add this to his already extensive list of career accomplishments. While many only know the 14 time Grammy Award Winner for his musical stylings, others know Mr. Carter for his business prowess as evidenced by his partial ownership of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. With his diversified portfolio, he is sure to bring a unique perspective to NBA 2K13 like no one else can.

“This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history,” commented JAY Z.  “NBA 2K13 will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I’m ready to usher in the new era of the franchise.”

Jay Z has put together the game’s 24 song soundtrack, each title having been hand-picked. With such a wide variety of music (of course … he HAS to include some of his own), fans will no doubt be pumped up as they take to the courts. Here’s the list:
