Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 Delayed
Perhaps the one game I was looking forward to the most this summer has now been delayed, Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 will now be releasing on October 9th, 2012. While I fully understand that games sometime need to be delayed, this is perhaps the worst decision I have ever seen a company make when it comes to a time frame. Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is not a AAA title and like most other non AAA titles, a summer release date usually helps to increase sales during the slower summer months. To put things into perspective, a release date of October 9th now puts it in the same month as Dishonored (same day actually), Medal of Honor 2, Assassins Creed III, and even Need for Speed Most Wanted among others. It also puts the game out just one month ahead of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 which along side many other large titles, will be releasing in November. Its a shame to see the game delayed. Its even more of a shame to see it now having to compete against some of this year’s biggest titles in the same month.
