PlayStation All-Stars Does Battle On October 23rd

Just a month ago at E3 we watched a full preview of what to expect of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. I’m sure some of the questions people have still been asking since then have been, “Why does this almost look like Smash Bros?”, “How do we know if a character is about to die?”, “Why is Sweet Tooth still overpowered?”, and “When does this game come out?”. While there are more questions I can add on to this, I’m here just to answer one of them and that’s the release date.

Earlier today on PlayStation.Blog it was revealed that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will be hitting North American stores on October 23rd, 2012 for both the PS3 and the Vita. Alongside the release date, it was also said that those who pre-order the game will gain access to multiple costumes for each character and they will only be available via pre-order.

However, with the games release just a few months away, the picture you see above is the current number of characters the games roster currently has, excluding the two giant yellow question marks. Those, in case you thought they were the PS new versions of Mr. Game & Watch, are actually the two new characters that will be announced during the Exhibition Presentation at EVO Las Vegas later this evening around 6:00pm PST.

We’ll be sure to update you on who those two characters will be later tonight. For now, let’s hope more information is leaked soon and some fixes are made from what we saw at E3. Honestly, I didn’t see this game ready for an early holiday release but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
